  • The Gravensteen in Ghent is the only remaining medieval castle in Flanders with an almost intact defense system, a special attraction.
  • The main attraction of Ghent is of course the city center. The medieval city center is located around the Korenmarkt and the river Leie.

  • This church, which has existed since the 11th century, was the church of the wealthy merchants and of the guilds of Ghent
  • Since the 10th-11th century, this square has been the place where the grain that entered Ghent via the Leie or Scheldt was traded
  • The patershol is an old neighborhood in the historic center of the city. There are numerous cafes and restaurants in the narrow medieval streets.
  • The Ghent Museum of Fine Arts is one of the oldest museums in Belgium. The collection consists of paintings, sculptures, drawings, etchings and tapestries.
  • This winding alley between the Hoogpoort and the Donkerstraat is also called the graffiti street because of its appearance.
