El Yunque Small-Group Tour From San Juan
Discover the natural beauty of the El Yunque rainforest, without the big groups that many tours pack in, on this small-group adventure. Enjoy convenient pickup from your San Juan hotel. Admire the scenic views during the 1-hour drive to Ceiba. Upon arrival at El Yunque, you can take advantage of the restrooms and changing rooms. Follow your certified guide on the 1.5-mile (2.4-kilometer) trail to Las Tinajas Falls, and learn about Taino life and the flora and fauna of the forest along the way. At the falls, you have a couple of hours to swim, slide, rope swing, cliff jump, and soak up the scenery. Afterward, head to Playa Luquillo to relax on the beach, play in the water, or grab food (own expense) from the many kiosks available. Your tour concludes with drop-off back at your San Juan accommodations.

What you'll see & do
- ✓To begin our amazing adventure our guide will personally pick up at the travelers accommodation in the metro area. Pickups can be hotels, resorts, residences or airbnbs anywhere in San Juan, Carolina, Loiza, Canovanas, Luquillo, Rio Grande or Fajardo. The day before the excursion, the tour guide will be communicating with the travelers for exact pick up time and other details. This schedule goes from 7:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. The earlier we start the better, to avoid bigger tour groups that arrive from other companies.
- ✓Our certified tour guide will lead you through this beautiful hidden gem in the rainforest of "El Yunque" in this area you will explore through the muddy clay trails and the lushes green of the rainforest. We will arrive at Las Tinajas Falls depending on previously scheduled pick up times by your personal tour guide. The hike is about 1.5 miles in total and will take about half an hour to arrive to the first bathing area. The guide will talk about the Taino life in the rainforest, the beautiful plants that grow around and show you the incredible bathing areas hidden in paradise. In these bathing areas you will be able to spend 1-2 hours swimming around, rope swinging into the deep rainwaters, sliding through a natural waterslide and/or jump from a 30 foot cliff! All these things in one incredible area in Puerto Rico. We will stay here until 1-2pm and afterwards stop around in some of the nearby restaurants to grab a bite to eat!
- ✓After our amazing hike, its time for some food! If the group and the tour guide wish, a stop will be made at this beautiful beach that is home to some 25 kiosks that are all located in the best restaurants in Puerto Rico. In this strip you will have the opportunity to try authentic Puerto Rican dishes and drinks like our famous mojitos or "piña colada".(lunch costs not included). In turn, you can enjoy the beautiful view provided by one of the most beautiful beaches on the island and have the opportunity to bathe in one of the most iconic beaches on our beautiful island. We will usually arrive by 2-3pm and leave by 4-5pm.
- ✓Back to your accommodation! Once the experience is over, each member of the group will be taken back to their accommodation directly by the tour guide.

PICK UP TIME IS FROM 7:00am TO 10:00am, depending on the time agreed upon with your tour guide. Your guide will contact you directly the DAY BEFORE your tour to CONFIRM the exact pickup time and meeting location. We offer pickup from most hotels, Airbnbs, and cruise ports in the San Juan area. If you're staying outside central San Juan or arriving by cruise ship, please provide details during booking so we can coordinate accordingly. Before the tour begins, be sure to pack a towel and shoes to walk or get dirty. You will enjoy a panoramic view during a one-hour drive from San Juan to Ceiba, PR with a certified tour guide. Once you arrive, there will be restrooms and changing rooms before heading to the trails, but it is best to bring a small bag with a change of clothes, towel and other footwear for after the hiking experience!
