Lake Bled & Bled Castle Half-Day Tour
This half-day tour takes you from Ljubljana to Lake Bled for an easy afternoon at Slovenia's best-known lake. You leave at 14:15 from Dalmatinova 10, opposite the City Hotel, and you're back in Ljubljana about four and a half hours later. At the lake you choose how to spend the time. Climb to Bled Castle, more than a thousand years old, for the view over the island and the Julian Alps. Take a traditional pletna boat, rowed by one oarsman, out to Bled Island and ring the wishing bell in the island church. Or walk part of the lakeshore and sit down for a slice of kremšnita, the Bled cream cake. Your guide knows the viewpoints for the best photos of the island. Up to 8 guests travel in a comfortable minivan, not a big coach, with a licensed local guide. The castle, the boat and the island church are optional, so you only pay for the stops you choose, and we share the prices upfront.
