Boston Guided Brewery Tour with Tastings, plus Lunch or Dinner

4.9 (273) 🕑 3 hours Non-refundable

Get to know Boston’s thriving beer scene on a morning or evening brew tour. Chat with brewery owners and learn about the equipment used to make beer, the brewing process and best of all, what the different kinds of beer taste like. Meet your guide in downtown Boston, then hop on a bus and travel to local breweries. Learn about the different types of beer as well as the history and specialty of each brewery. Among the possibilities are Samuel Adams, Night Shift Brewing, Dorchester Brewing, Slumbrew, Mystic Brewery, Downeast Cider House or Beer Works. Samuel Adams is a well-known brewery with a long history of various types and styles of craft beer. Night Shift Brewing is a craft brewery featuring a taproom with communal tables and an assortment of barrel-aged beers. Dorchester Brewing houses state-of-the-art brewing equipment. Slumbrew's motto is "Make good liquids; make good friends," which tells you all you need to know about their drinks. Mystic Brewery is a craft brewery dedicated to brewing distinctly regional beer. And Downeast Cider House is New England’s craft cider headquarters. All tours end at The Meadhall, a spacious gastropub with a large craft beer and mead selection, plus American bar fare. Get a private tour and enjoy lunch with a beer. Both tours conclude in downtown Boston.

What you'll see & do

  • A nocturnal nano brewery and taproom in Everett, Massachusetts, only a stone’s throw from Boston proper, Night Shift Brewing is known around town for their ‘avant-garde’ (that’s French for totally off-the-wall) brewing style with ingredients you’ve probably never thought to put in a beer. Luckily, they did!
  • Boasting one of the first grain silos built in Dorchester, MA in over a hundred years, the Dorchester Brewing Company opened its doors in 2016. Producing both its own craft beers and those of several partner breweries, Dorchester Brewing Company is a place that is always brewing! DBCo. brews its own well-crafted house beers alongside local brewing partners and regional collaborators and puts them all on the shiny new 20-tap system in the beautifully refinished taproom. Dorchester Brewing Company houses some of the most state-of-the-art brewing equipment in its large brewing space including high-speed canning and bottling machines and a massive energy-efficient cooler in the back for fresh beer storage. With food trucks outside, wi-fi and board games inside, and an ever changing line up of fresh brews, Dorchester Brewing Company is one of the newest and best places to settle in for a tour visit.
  • Winter Hill Brewing Company is one of those down-to-earth neighborhood joints everyone loves! This brewery sees a lot of returning customers and regulars who come in multiple times a week. Winter Hill embraces giving back to their community as much as possible and partner with and contribute to many non profit organizations. They offer incredible small-batch beer made in-house as well as ethically-sourced hand-crafted coffee.
