With time to spare before the start of the tour, make your own way to the meetup point in Thingvellir National Park. Meet your guide and small group of fellow travelers and head for the nearby snorkeling area. After a safety briefing, put on your provided snorkeling equipment and thermal dry suit and slip into the brisk Icelandic water for the unique experience of snorkeling between the North American and European tectonic plates. Under the watchful eye of your guide, who takes GoPro images of the experience, explore the crystal-clear glacial water of the Silfra fissure and its otherworldly geology and marine life.
