- ✓Pelourinho is closely linked to the foundation of Salvador and to the development of Brazil in the colonial era, it is the best known part of the Historic Center of Salvador which, in addition to Pelourinho, also encompasses the region of Sé, Pilar and the neighborhood of Santo Antônio Além do Carmo.
