- ✓Before it was a park, this neighborhood was a busy place with many houses, shops, and the sounds of daily life. In a single flash on August 6, 1945, that world vanished. As we enter the Rest House and stand in front of the Atomic Bomb Dome, we are not just looking at them; we are listening to the stories of the people who were there. After our visit, we will take a local bus from a nearby bus stop. This 20-minute ride takes us away from the city center to the quiet area of Mitaki.
- ✓After the bus ride and a 10-minute walk, the air changes as you enter the temple grounds. This sanctuary is home to lush nature, three waterfalls, and hundreds of stone statues.
