What you'll see & do

  • You'll meet your guide at 10:00am at the fountain outside Pisa Centrale train station. The guide will hold a sign saying Pisa Explorer. From there the small group will move on to Piazza Vittorio Emanuele for the beginning of the walking tour.
  • The narration starts in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele with an introduction to the history of the city of Pisa and its territory
  • A visit to the impressive mural Keith Haring painted in Pisa in 1989, the largest he painted and also his last
  • The tour continues along the lively main pedestrional and commercial street of Pisa, Corso Italia
  • At the end of Corso Italia we will be on the Arno riverbanks and Ponte di Mezzo, the main bridge of the city center where we will admire some of the most beautifull bildings of the city including Palazzo Blu.
  • Crossed the river Arno we will be on the north bank of the city along the busy Borgo Stretto, in the very heart of Medieval Pisa
  • Once the political center of the Medieval Maritime Republic of Pisa now home of some of the most interesting late Renaissance architecture in the city
  • At the end of the walking tour you will be at the world-famous UNESCO protected monumental complex of the Cathedral of Pisa and Leaning Tower, also known as the Square of Miracles, for a final all external visit of the area. End of services at 12:00 noon.
