What you'll see & do
- ✓Hidden location just south of Nara Park. Peaceful and gorgeous place for a photo spot at the beginning of the tour.
- ✓Watch the deer and enjoy the ride through Nara Park between each point of interest during the tour.
- ✓Admire the Great South Gate, symbol of the entrance of the domain of Todaiji Temple. Learn about the bowing origin story and feed the deer with the proper "Nara way".
- ✓The biggest wood structure in the world and one of the most impressive temples in the country. You will admire the "Daibutsuden", the biggest bronze buddha statue in the country.
- ✓Visit one of the oldest knife companies in the country, and get an introduction to Japanese Cutlery, its culture, and its history. Possibility to buy knives on-site, with excellent prices for top-notch knife quality. NOTE - BRING YOUR PASSPORT If you plan on purchasing anything, especially knives or scissors, you can now get TAX-FREE.
- ✓Explore The shrine and its thousand lanterns. Learn about Shinto in general, and more specifically about the spirit of Kasuga, and the reason why the deer are sacred in this region.
