Scottish Highlands Glenfinnan and Glencoe Tour From Edinburgh

Make your own way to the meeting point in Edinburgh’s Old Town and board the bus for the drive north. The first stop is the small town of Callander for a refreshment break before heading into the Highlands. After driving through Loch Lomond and the Trossachs National Park, stop in Glencoe. Your guide fills you in on its dark history while you take advantage of the photo opportunities. Next is the bustling town of Fort William where you can have lunch (own expense). If there’s time, make a photo stop at the impressive Neptune's Staircase lock on the Caledonian Canal before heading to Glenfinnan. Arrive at Glennfinnan Viaduct, and hopefully see the Jacobite Steam train cross (in season). Enjoy free time in Glenfinnan to visit the monument commemorating the Jacobite rising of 1745. Your final stop is the small town of Pitlochry where you can stretch your legs before heading back to Edinburgh where your tour ends. Note that the itinerary may be reversed during peak season to avoid congestion.
