Mt. Batur Sunrise Trek with Breakfast and Coffee Plantation
If you’re hiking Mt. Batur, your driver will collect you between 1:30–2:30am depending on your location; if you’re taking the Jeep tour, pickup is at a more leisurely 4am or thereabouts, and you watch the sunrise from the black lava fields, not the crater rim. Hikers meet your guide at the base of the volcano, and start climbing around 3:30am. After a rewarding but not overly strenuous hike, reach your sunrise point on the crater rim around 5:30am, in good time to watch the sun shed its rays across Bali and Lombok. Enjoy a simple breakfast on this active volcano, then begin the guided hike down. On your way back, stop at a coffee plantation: A hot springs visit is available on request and at your own expense.
